Chakarov Island is an ice-covered island located in Antarctica. It is about 2.18 kilometers (1.35 miles) long and 600 meters (0.37 miles) wide. This island is part of the Biscoe Islands, specifically within a smaller group called the Barcroft Islands. Chakarov Island covers an area of 92 hectares, which is roughly the size of 129 football fields! No one lives on the island, as it is a very cold and icy place.

This commission is a group that decides the names for different places in Antarctica.
