Chantay Savage (born July 16, 1971) is an American R&B and dance singer. She became well-known in the 1990s. Many of her songs appeared on different Billboard music charts. One of her biggest hits was "I Will Survive". This song was a new version of a famous hit by Gloria Gaynor.

Chantay Savage's Music Journey
Before Chantay Savage signed a record deal, she worked as a singer and songwriter for other artists. She helped write songs for musicians like CeCe Peniston and Tanya Blount. For example, she co-wrote CeCe Peniston's popular song "We Got a Love Thang".
Early Career and First Album
In 1993, Chantay Savage released her first song called "If You Believe." This song was from her first album, Here We Go.... Her next song, "Betcha'll Never Find," became a top 20 hit on both the dance and R&B Billboard charts. She also released other songs like "Don't Let It Go to Your Head" and "Give It to Ya."
Collaborations and Big Hits
In 1995, Chantay Savage joined many other famous artists for a special song. She worked with Aaliyah, En Vogue, TLC, Mary J. Blige, and others. They sang "Freedom" for the movie Panther.
A year later, in 1996, she released her version of "I Will Survive." This song was from her second album, I Will Survive (Doin' It My Way). It became a big hit in the US, reaching number 24 on the pop charts. It also went to number 5 on Billboard's R&B chart. In the UK Singles Chart, it reached number 12. The song was so popular that it was certified gold. This means it sold over 500,000 copies in the US.
In 1997, Chantay Savage performed at the Soul Train Music Awards. She sang Janet Jackson's hit song "That's the Way Love Goes." She performed with other artists like Deborah Cox and Heavy D.
