Charles Leonard Aidman (born January 21, 1925 – died November 7, 1993) was an American actor. He performed in plays, movies, and TV shows. He was known for his many guest roles on popular television series.

Early Life and Education
Charles Aidman was born in Frankfort, Indiana. His parents were George E. and Etta Aidman. He went to Frankfort High School. After high school, he studied at DePauw University.
During World War II, Aidman served in the United States Navy. After the war, he returned to Indiana. He then graduated from Indiana University.
Acting Career Highlights
Charles Aidman had a long career in acting. He appeared in many different TV shows and movies. He was often a guest star on popular series.
Television Roles and Guest Appearances
Aidman appeared in several western TV shows. These included The Virginian and The Californians. He also played a bounty hunter in Black Saddle.
He was in two episodes of Twilight Zone. These were "And When the Sky Was Opened" and "Little Girl Lost." He also appeared in other westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
Aidman also guest-starred in the children's western Fury. He was in a 1960 episode of the courtroom drama Perry Mason. In 1966, he played a scientist who turned into a werewolf in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
He had a recurring role in The Wild Wild West. He played Jeremy Pike, a helper for the main character, Jim West. In 1970, he was in Hawaii Five O. He also introduced the character Louis Willis on All In The Family in 1974.
Later, Aidman played a father in Little House on the Prairie. He also had a memorable role in M*A*S*H in 1977. From 1985 to 1987, Aidman was the first narrator for the new The Twilight Zone series.
Stage and Film Work
In 1963, Charles Aidman created a theater play from Spoon River Anthology. This was a book of poems by Edgar Lee Masters. This play is still performed today.
He also acted in many movies. Some of his film roles include Pork Chop Hill (1959) and War Hunt (1962). He was also in Hour of the Gun (1967) and Innerspace (1987). Innerspace was one of his last acting jobs.
Personal Life and Passing
Charles Aidman was married to Frances Garman, who was a model. He passed away from cancer in Beverly Hills, California. He is buried in the Room of Prayer at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.
