Early Life and College
Charles Claxton was born on December 13, 1970, in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. This is a beautiful group of islands in the Caribbean Sea.
He went to Miami Carol City High School in Miami, Florida. After high school, he played college basketball for the University of Georgia. He was a key player for the Georgia Bulldogs team from 1991 to 1995.
Professional Basketball Career
Charles Claxton was chosen by the Phoenix Suns in the 1994 NBA draft. He was the 50th player picked overall in the second round. The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the top professional basketball league in North America.
Playing in the NBA
He played for the famous Boston Celtics team during the 1995–96 season. He appeared in 3 games for them. He also signed contracts with the Cleveland Cavaliers in October 1995 and the Utah Jazz in October 1996. However, he did not play in any official NBA games for those teams.
