The Early Life and Education of Charles Norgle
Charles R. Norgle was born in Chicago, Illinois. This was on March 6, 1937. He decided to serve his country first. He joined the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.
After his time in the Army, he went to college. He attended Northwestern University. In 1964, he earned a degree in Business Administration. He then decided to study law. He went to John Marshall Law School. He received his law degree in 1969.
Charles Norgle's Career as a Judge
After finishing law school, Charles Norgle began his legal career. He worked as an assistant state's attorney. This was in DuPage County, Illinois, from 1969 to 1971. Then, he became a deputy public defender for the same county. He held this role from 1971 to 1973.
He started his journey as a judge in 1973. He became an associate judge for DuPage County. Later, he served as a circuit judge from 1977 to 1978. He continued to serve the public in various judicial roles. He was an associate judge again from 1978 to 1981. Finally, he was a circuit judge from 1981 to 1984.
Becoming a Federal Judge
On September 10, 1984, something big happened. President Ronald Reagan nominated Charles Norgle. He was chosen for a new judge position.
