Charlotte Inez Pomerantz was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 24, 1930. Her parents were Phyllis and Abraham Pomerantz. She went to Sarah Lawrence College and earned her degree in 1953.
Family Life
Charlotte married Carl Marzani on November 12, 1966. She passed away in Charlottesville, Virginia, on July 24, 2022. This was also her 92nd birthday.
Her Amazing Books
Charlotte Pomerantz wrote many stories that children loved. Her book The Princess and the Admiral won a special award in 1975. This was the Jane Addams Children's Book Award. Another one of her stories, The Piggy in the Puddle, was featured on the TV show Reading Rainbow in 1992.
