Charmaine Sheh Sze-man is a famous actress and former beauty queen from Hong Kong. She was born on May 28, 1975. Charmaine became well-known after placing third in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant in 1997. She then started her acting career with TVB in 1998.

Early Career and Breakthrough

Charmaine Sheh studied hotel management in Switzerland and graduated in 1994. In October 1997, she joined TVB, a major TV network in Hong Kong. This happened after she won second runner-up in the 1997 Miss Hong Kong Pageant.

At the beginning of her acting career, some people criticized her voice and acting. However, Charmaine worked hard to improve. She had a big breakthrough in the TV show Return of the Cuckoo in 2000. This show helped her become a recognized actress.

In 2014, she starred as an undercover police officer named Ting Siu Ka in the show Line Walker. Her acting in this role was highly praised. She won many awards for Line Walker, including Best Actress and Favourite TV Character at the TVB 48th Anniversary Awards. She set a new record for winning the most awards for a single role at TVB.

In 2018, Charmaine received a lot of praise for her role as Hoifa-Nara Shushen in the Chinese historical drama Story of Yanxi Palace. This role made her famous around the world. She was even nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 24th Huading Awards.

In 2019, there was a misunderstanding when she liked a post on social media. She quickly clarified that she did not know the context of the photo and was surprised by the situation.
