Chase is a small place in Madison County, Alabama, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
History of Chase
The community of Chase got its name from the important Chase family. One famous person from this family was Henry B. Chase. He was the second mayor of nearby Huntsville. He served as mayor from 1918 to 1920.
Chase used to be a busy stop for trains. Today, you can visit the North Alabama Railroad Museum there. This museum helps keep the history of trains alive. Chase also had its own post office for many years. It was open from 1898 until 1976.
