Meet Chef Damu, whose real name is Dr. Damodharan Kothandaraman. He's a famous chef from India! You might know him from TV. He's been on many cooking shows and competitions, especially as a judge on Cooku with Comali on Star Vijay.
In 2010, he even set a Guinness World Record for cooking non-stop for a super long time! He's also the first Indian chef to get a special advanced degree (a Ph.D) in Hotel Management. He earned it from the University of Madras in 2004. Chef Damu has even appeared in a few movies! He has helped make South Indian cuisine popular not just in India, but all over the world. He's a true legend in cooking!

Chef Damu's Amazing Career
Setting a World Record
In December 2010, Chef Damu did something incredible. He cooked 617 different dishes! That's a lot of food – about 190 kilograms. He started cooking on December 21st at 8 AM. He kept cooking for over 24 hours straight! This amazing feat earned him a Guinness World Record. It was for the longest cooking marathon by one person.
Sharing His Recipes
Chef Damu has written several cookbooks. These books share his delicious recipes and cooking tips. They became very popular! Many people wanted to learn authentic South Indian cuisine from a master chef.
Teaching Cooking Skills
Besides TV shows and books, Chef Damu also holds cooking workshops. He gives demonstrations too. These workshops help young chefs and cooking fans.
