Chelsee Teresa Washington (born November 17, 1997) is an American professional soccer player. She plays as a midfielder, which means she helps both defend and attack on the field.

Early Life and High School Soccer
Chelsee Washington was born in Dallas, Texas. She was a really good soccer player at Hebron High School. In her junior and senior years, she was named the best midfielder in her high school district. When she was a sophomore, she helped her team win a state championship.
Chelsee also played for club soccer teams like Solar Chelsea SC and the Dallas Texans SC. She was a starter for these teams for six years, from 2011 to 2016.
Playing Soccer in College
Chelsee played college soccer at Bowling Green State University. She was a starter for her team for all four years, from 2016 to 2019. During her time there, her team won two regular season titles and two conference tournament titles.
Chelsee also won many special awards. In 2019, she was named the best offensive player in her conference, the Mid-American Conference. She was also chosen for the best team in her conference in both 2018 and 2019. In 2019, soccer coaches picked her as one of the best players in her region. She was only the second player from her school to get such a high honor.
During her college off-seasons in 2018 and 2019, Chelsee played for a club team called FC Dallas. She played in 14 games and scored one goal for them.
Professional Soccer Career
Joining Orlando Pride
In 2020, Chelsee Washington was chosen by a professional team, Orlando Pride, in the 2020 NWSL Draft. She was the 30th player picked overall. This was a big deal because she was the first player from her college team ever chosen in the draft!
The soccer season in 2020 was changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chelsee first signed a temporary contract with Orlando Pride. However, the team couldn't play in the first tournament. Later, in September, Chelsee signed a longer contract to play through the 2021 season. She played her first game on September 19, 2020. She came into the game near the end, and her team tied 0–0. She played in all four special games that fall, playing a total of 191 minutes.
Playing in Australia
In November 2021, Chelsee went to play for an Australian team called Canberra United for a short time. She played 13 games and scored three goals, which was one of the highest numbers on her team.
Chelsee left Orlando Pride when her contract ended in November 2022.
