Chepén is a city in Peru. It is located in the La Libertad Region and is the capital of the Chepén Province.
Chepén is known for growing a lot of rice. This happens in the fertile valleys of Chepén and Jequetepeque. The city is also a busy trading hub. It trades with nearby towns like Guadalupe, Pacasmayo, and San Pedro de Lloc. Chepén also has factories that make things like industrial dyes and food products.
