Chicken Little is a fun computer-animated science fiction comedy film from 2005. It was made by Walt Disney Animation Studios and is based on the old story of the same name. This movie was the 46th animated feature film from Disney. It was directed by Mark Dindal and written by Steve Bencich, Ron J. Friedman, and Ron Anderson. The story was created by Mark Kennedy and Mark Dindal. The film is dedicated to Disney artist and writer Joe Grant, who passed away before the movie came out.
Chicken Little was the first Disney movie made entirely with computer animation. Before this, Disney distributed films from Pixar, but they didn't produce them. Also, the movie Dinosaur (2000) used a mix of live-action and computer animation. This film was animated at Disney's main studio in Burbank, California. It was released by Walt Disney Pictures on November 4, 2005. It was also the first movie released in a special 3D format called Disney Digital 3-D.
This movie was Disney's second time adapting the "Chicken Little" fable. The first was a short cartoon made during World War II. Chicken Little was also the last Disney animated film before John Lasseter became the chief creative officer of Disney Animation. It earned $314 million around the world, making it director Mark Dindal's most successful film at the time.

What is Chicken Little about?
The Sky is Falling!
The story begins in the town of Oakey Oaks. A small rooster named Chicken Little rings the school bell, shouting that the sky is falling! This causes everyone in town to panic and run around. Finally, the Head of the Fire Department calms things down and asks Chicken Little what happened.
Chicken Little explains that a piece of the sky, shaped like a stop sign, hit him on the head. But he can't find the piece anywhere. His dad, Buck Cluck, thinks it was just an acorn that fell from a tree. Because of this, Chicken Little becomes the laughingstock of the whole town.
Trying to Make His Dad Proud
A year later, Chicken Little is still sad and feels like an outsider. His friend, Abby Mallard, tries to help him talk to his dad. But Chicken Little really just wants to make his father proud. So, he decides to join his school's baseball team. He hopes this will help him get his good name back and earn his dad's pride.
He spends most of the games on the bench. But in the very last inning of the final game, something amazing happens! Chicken Little hits a home run, winning the game for his team. Everyone cheers for him, and he becomes a hero.
A Real Alien Invasion?
Later that night, Chicken Little is hit on the head again by the same "piece of the sky." This time, he realizes it's not a piece of the sky at all! It's a special device that can blend in with its surroundings. He calls his friends to help him figure out what it is.
When one of his friends pushes a button on the device, it flies into the sky. It turns out to be part of the camouflage for an invisible UFO! Chicken Little quickly rings the bell to warn everyone. But the aliens see the crowd coming and fly away, accidentally leaving behind a small orange alien.
The town doesn't believe Chicken Little's story about aliens. They think it's another "acorn incident." So, Chicken Little is made fun of again. He and his friends find the lost orange alien. A few minutes later, a whole fleet of alien ships comes down to the town. It looks like an invasion!
Saving the Day
As the aliens cause chaos in Oakey Oaks, Chicken Little realizes he must return the little alien to its parents. This is the only way to save the planet! First, he talks to his dad, and his dad finally believes him.
During the invasion, Buck Cluck tries to protect Chicken Little from the aliens. It turns out the aliens weren't hurting people. Their ray guns were actually teleporting everyone aboard the UFO. The whole "invasion" was a big misunderstanding. The two adult aliens were just looking for their lost child and attacked because they were worried.
Chicken Little returns the child to its parents. The aliens then put everything back to normal. As they leave, they notice a loose tile on their ship. Everyone in Oakey Oaks is thankful for Chicken Little's bravery in saving the town.
