Chihuly Garden and Glass is a special art exhibit in Seattle, Washington. It's right next to the famous Space Needle. This amazing place shows off beautiful glass art created by a famous artist named Dale Chihuly. It opened its doors in May 2012.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is an amazing art exhibit located in the Seattle Center. It's a fantastic place to see incredible glass sculptures. The exhibit opened in May 2012. It was built where an old amusement park used to be.

What You'll See at the Exhibit

The exhibit has three main parts for visitors to explore. These are the Garden, the Glasshouse, and the Interior Exhibits. There are also other cool areas. You can find a cafe, a theater for talks, and gift shops.

The Glasshouse holds one of Chihuly's biggest artworks. It's a huge glass sculpture that hangs down. This amazing piece is 100 feet long! The building itself was designed to be very eco-friendly. It even earned a special green building award.

Fun Festivals and Community

Since 2019, Chihuly Garden and Glass has hosted a free art festival. It's called Refract: The Seattle Glass Experience. This festival brings together many artists. It also shows off amazing glass art from the Puget Sound region.

The museum also works with Seattle Public Schools. They invite elementary school students to visit for free. Kids can explore the galleries and take part in hands-on art classes. This partnership started in 2013. By 2024, the museum had given over 17,300 free tickets to students.
