Chioma Chukwuka (born March 12, 1980), also known as Chioma Akpotha, is a well-known Nigerian actress and movie producer. She is famous for her amazing acting skills. She also received the Afro Hollywood award for best actress in 2010.

Early Life and Education

Chioma Chukwuka was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, on March 12, 1980. Her family comes from Oraifite in Anambra State, which is in the southeastern part of Nigeria.

She started her schooling at Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos. After that, she went to Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) in Onitsha, Anambra State, for her secondary education. Later, Chioma studied Banking and Finance at Lagos State University.

Her Acting Journey

Chioma Chukwuka began her acting career in the year 2000. Her very first movie was called The Apple. She also appeared in the film The Handkerchief that same year.

In 2007, Chioma won the "Best Actress in a Lead Role" award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards. This was for her role in the movie Sins of the Flesh. She was also nominated for another Africa Movie Academy Award in 2014 for her acting in the movie Accident.

Chioma has been acting for over 20 years. She has starred in more than 350 Nollywood movies. Nollywood is the name for the Nigerian film industry.
