Chips is a unique apartment building located next to the Ashton Canal in New Islington, Manchester, England. This area was once part of Ancoats. The building is a key part of a big project to make the area new and exciting. This project is called the New Islington Millennium Village. It is led by a company called Urban Splash.
Chips is a nine-storey building. It was designed by a famous architect named Will Alsop. He was the founder of Alsop Architects. The engineers who made sure the building was strong were Civic Engineers. Tom Bloxham from Urban Splash wanted a building that was not boring. He worked with Will Alsop to create the Chips building.

About Chips
