Chocope is a town in northern Peru. It is the main town of the Chocope area in the La Libertad region.
This town is located next to the Pan-American Highway. It is about 45 kilometers (28 miles) north of Trujillo city. Chocope is in the Chicama Valley, which is a farming area. You can use Chocope as a bus stop if you are traveling from Trujillo to El Brujo.
