Chris Alan Coles is an American basketball coach. He was born around 1968. Chris followed in his father's footsteps. His dad was Charlie Coles, a famous basketball coach. Charlie coached at Miami University and Central Michigan University.

Chris Coles has had a long career in basketball. He started as a player. Then, he became a coach. He has coached at both high school and college levels.
Playing College Basketball
Chris Coles played college basketball himself. He played for the Central Michigan Chippewas. This was during the 1986 and 1987 seasons. He learned a lot about the game as a player.
Coaching High School Teams
After playing, Chris Coles became a basketball coach. He started coaching at the high school level. He coached high school teams for many years. This period lasted from 1990 to 2007.
Coaching in College
Later, Chris moved to college coaching. From 2007 to 2012, he was an assistant coach. He worked with the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals team. An assistant coach helps the head coach. They work on strategies and train players.
Chris then became a head coach at Olivet College. He led the Olivet Comets men's basketball team. This was from 2012 to 2016. As a head coach, he was in charge of the whole team. His college coaching record was 23 wins and 77 losses.
