Christi Paul grew up in Bellevue, Ohio. She went to the University of Toledo. There, she studied broadcast journalism. This means she learned how to report and present news on TV.

Her first job in TV news was in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She worked at a station called WDTV. She did many jobs there. She was a news anchor, an editor, a photographer, and a reporter.

After that, she worked in Boise, Idaho, and Phoenix, Arizona. While working at KTVB in Idaho, she won an award. The Idaho Press Club honored her for stories about a young girl named Julianne Prudhomme. This girl had a very special five-organ transplant.

Her Time at CNN

Christi Paul joined CNN in 2003. CNN is a big news network. She anchored shows on HLN, which is CNN's sister station. Sometimes, she filled in as a host for Morning Express with Robin Meade.

For nine years, she was the weekend anchor for CNN's New Day. She reported on big events, like the GOP Convention in Cleveland in 2016.

On June 26, 2022, Christi left CNN. She said goodbye on New Day Weekend. She wanted to move back to Ohio to be closer to her family.

Back in Ohio

A month after leaving CNN, Christi Paul joined WKYC. This is a local news station in Cleveland, Ohio. She now co-anchors a show called What's New on weekdays. She also works on special news stories.

Christi Paul is married to Peter Wurm. They have three daughters together. She was married before to a reporter named Rob Koebel.
