Christian Roger Andreu (born on November 15, 1976) is a talented French musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist for the heavy metal band Gojira. He also played guitar on an album for a band called Familha Artús.

Music and Influences
Christian Andreu gets his musical ideas from many different bands. Some of his favorite metal bands include Death, Metallica, Morbid Angel, Tool, and Slayer. He also enjoys classical music.
Beyond metal, Christian likes musicians such as Mozart, La Tordue, Têtes Raides, and Björk. He is also inspired by Bulgarian music and Indian music. He enjoys French singers like Alain Bashung, Barbara, Jacques Brel, and Georges Brassens.
Christian once shared that he doesn't listen to much metal music, except for his own band, Gojira. He mostly listens to classical music. He said that the song "Symbolic" by the band Death really shows who he is.
In 2007, Christian also played guitar in an experimental band called Familha Artús. This band played a mix of traditional and progressive rock music.
A Fiery Moment on Stage
In May 2019, something unexpected happened during a concert at the Sonic Temple Festival in Ohio. Towards the end of the song "Stranded," the stage's flame effects shot fire towards his face because of the wind. Christian got some minor burns and had to leave the stage for a moment. But he was very brave! He quickly returned to finish the concert, taking short breaks between songs to cool his face with water. He recovered very quickly from the incident.
Personal Life
Christian Andreu lives close to nature on the southwest coast of France. This area is near San Sebastián, Spain. When he is not touring with his band, he enjoys taking care of his organic garden. He also likes to go fishing.
