Christiansburg is a small, unincorporated community located in Van Buren Township, Brown County, in the state of Indiana. An unincorporated community means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
History
Christiansburg was established a long time ago, around the year 1850. People believe it might have been named after a person named Colonel William Christian. For many years, Christiansburg had its own post office, which helped people send and receive mail. However, the post office eventually closed down in 1902.
