Christie Repasy (born December 19, 1958) is an American artist from Maywood, California. She is famous for her beautiful paintings of flowers and for decorating furniture with her unique floral designs. Her art often has a classic, elegant feel, like something from the Victorian era.

Christie's Early Art Journey

Christie Repasy loved painting from a very young age, starting when she was in second grade. By the time she was 14, she was already painting furniture for her friends and people in her neighborhood. Her first big win was an art contest at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California.

She continued to paint soft, rose-themed designs, often inspired by French styles, on both canvases and furniture. Later, she studied oil painting at Irvine Valley College with an artist named Chris Gwaltney.

Christie's Art Career

Christie started selling her amazing art pieces when she was 28 years old. She often uses old picture frames and even ceiling-fan parts to create unique frames for her artwork.

Her special way of painting furniture was featured in Somerset Home magazine in 2010. She has also appeared in Romantic Homes Magazine four times, in 2004, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Romantic Country Magazine also mentioned her work in 2008 and 2011.

In 2006, the Orange County Register newspaper wrote about how Christie uses the "shabby chic" style in her art. This style makes new things look old and charming. In 2012, Today's Vintage Magazine also highlighted her original artwork in a special article.

Christie is known for finding old furniture at flea markets and turning them into beautiful art pieces with her floral designs. In 2004, HGTV featured her on their "Country Style" show. They said that her "timeless flower paintings hang in homes around the country." She also appeared on Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic show. People have even compared her art to the famous artist Paul De Longpre.

Christie's art has been shown at the Laguna Beach Art Festival. She also took part in its 75th-anniversary celebration.

Christie's Personal Life

Christie Repasy hosts a special event called Chateau de Fleurs at her home in Fallbrook, California. This event happens a few times a year and brings together many talented artists. She also has a home and art studio in Laguna Beach.
