Mary Christine Hamilton (born Mary Christine Holman on 10 November 1949) is an English author and media personality. She is known for appearing on many television shows.
She is married to Neil Hamilton, who was a politician for the Conservative Party. A politician who is elected to represent an area in the government is called a Member of Parliament, or MP for short. Later, Christine and her husband became well-known supporters of the UK Independence Party (UKIP).

Early Life and Education
Christine Hamilton grew up in the New Forest area of Hampshire, England. Her father was a doctor. She went to Wentworth College, a private school in Bournemouth, and later a school in Christchurch.
After finishing school, she studied sociology at the University of York. It was at a student political meeting that she first met her future husband, Neil Hamilton.
Career Journey
Working in Politics
For many years, Hamilton worked as a secretary for several MPs in the Conservative Party. After she married Neil Hamilton in 1983, she became his secretary.
Her husband became a government minister from 1992 to 1994. However, he was involved in a controversy where some politicians were accused of accepting money to ask questions in Parliament. Because of this, a famous journalist named Martin Bell decided to run against him in the 1997 general election. Bell wanted to bring more honesty to politics.
During the election campaign, Christine Hamilton famously confronted Martin Bell at a press conference. This moment was shown on television and made her a well-known public figure. She later said this event was "the making of me." Her husband lost the election, and they later faced financial problems after a difficult court case.
Becoming a TV Personality
After her husband left politics, Christine and Neil Hamilton appeared on the comedy quiz show Have I Got News for You. This helped Christine become a popular guest on talk shows. She even hosted her own program, The Christine Hamilton Show, where she interviewed other famous people.
She has appeared on many other television shows and has called herself a "media butterfly."

A Difficult Time
In 2001, Christine and her husband were wrongly accused of a serious crime. The police investigated the claims but found they were not true. The person who made the false accusations was later found to have lied and was sent to prison.
