Chykie Jerrod Brown (born December 26, 1986) is a former American football player. He played as a cornerback, a position in football where players defend against passes. Chykie Brown was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2011 NFL draft. He also played college football for the University of Texas at Austin.

Early Life and High School
Chykie Brown grew up in Houston, Texas. He was a talented athlete in high school at North Shore High School. He played many different positions, including safety, cornerback, running back, and wide receiver.
He was named an all-state player, which means he was one of the best high school players in Texas. He also earned honors for being a great student. By the end of high school, he had made 120 tackles, caught 10 interceptions, and forced 4 fumbles.
College Career at Texas
Chykie Brown played college football for the University of Texas in Austin. He spent one year as a "red-shirt" freshman, which means he practiced with the team but didn't play in games. This allowed him to train and get stronger.
Over four seasons, he played in 47 games and started 29 of them. During his college career, he made 106 tackles, had two interceptions, and forced two fumbles.
Professional Football Career
Chykie Brown was picked by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL draft. This was a big step for him to play in the National Football League (NFL).
Baltimore Ravens
In his first year, the 2011 season, Brown played a small role. He made seven tackles and defended one pass.
The 2012 season saw him play more. This was partly because another player, Lardarius Webb, got injured. Brown finished that season with 25 tackles and 5 passes defended.
A famous moment happened in the playoffs against the Denver Broncos. Brown broke up a pass that led to a touchdown for his team. The Ravens won that exciting game. Three weeks later, they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. This win earned Chykie Brown his first Super Bowl championship ring!
In the 2013 season, Brown mostly played on special teams, which are specific units for kicking and punting plays. He was released by the Ravens in November 2014.
New York Giants
After leaving the Ravens, Chykie Brown was signed by the New York Giants in November 2014. He played for them for a short time before being released in September 2015.
Cincinnati Bengals
In 2016, Brown signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was released and then re-signed by the team. Later that year, he was placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
