The main idea behind creating this club was to have a place where business people, entrepreneurs, and the middle class of Alcoy could meet and connect. From the very beginning, it also organized fun and educational activities for its members. The history of the Circulo Industrial de Alcoy really shows how Alcoy's economy and industries have grown over the years.

The Amazing Building

The building where the Circulo Industrial de Alcoy is located was designed by a talented architect named Timoteo Briet Montaud. He created the plans between 1909 and 1911. This building is one of the best examples of a special art style called Art Nouveau in Alcoy.

It's known as one of the most unique and well-preserved Art Nouveau buildings in Alcoy. Both the outside and the beautiful rooms inside show off this artistic style. It has many features of the Art Nouveau movement, especially a style known as Secession.

This building is so important that it's officially protected. It has a high level of protection in the city's plan. It's also listed by the Fine Arts department and the official Architects' College of the Valencian Community. This means it's recognized as a very important historical and artistic building.
