Cissus antarctica is a cool plant often called "kangaroo vine." It's a type of climbing plant, also known as a vine, and it originally comes from Australia. It belongs to the Cissus group of plants, which are part of the Vitaceae family – that's the same family as grapevines!
Growing Kangaroo Vine
Kangaroo vine is a popular plant for many reasons. People often grow it as an ornamental plant in their gardens, especially in places with warm, sunny weather like California. It's a great choice because it's a vine that can climb and add a lot of green to outdoor spaces.
As a Houseplant
This plant is also a favorite for growing indoors as a houseplant. It's quite tough and can even do well in places that don't get a lot of bright sunlight.
However, kangaroo vine doesn't like it too hot. It prefers temperatures below 15 °C (about 59 °F). If it gets too warm, especially with central heating, its leaves might start to fall off. So, it's best to keep it in a cooler spot in your home.
