Claire Goose is a Scottish actress. She first became well-known for playing Tina Seabrook in the long-running BBC medical drama Casualty from 1997 to 2000. She has also starred in other popular TV shows like Waking the Dead (where she played DS "Mel" Silver), The Bill (as Insp. Rachel Weston), and The Coroner (as Jane Kennedy). For her role in The Coroner, she even won an award for "Best Acting Performance" from the Royal Television Society. Claire also narrated the Sky One reality series Road Wars and has performed in theatre plays, including The Girl Who Fell in London's West End.

Early Life and Education
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Claire Goose grew up in Dersingham, England. Her father worked as a doctor. Claire has an older sister, Caroline, who is a nursery nurse, and an older brother, Duncan, who started a company called One Drinks. Claire went to Wisbech Grammar School and later studied acting at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
Acting Career
Claire started her acting journey with early theatre roles like Addicted to Love. She also appeared in TV commercials.
Becoming a TV Star
Claire played a major role as Nurse Tina Seabrook in the popular medical drama Casualty. She was in over 80 episodes between 1997 and 2000! In 1998, she was nominated for "Most Popular Newcomer" at the 4th National Television Awards for her character in the series.
From 2000 to 2004, she played Detective Constable (later Detective Sergeant) Amelia 'Mel' Silver for four seasons of the crime show Waking the Dead.
In August 2008, Claire joined the cast of ITV's police drama The Bill, playing Sergeant, and later Inspector, Rachel Weston. In the same year, she played an undercover police officer named Rebecca Ryan/Margaret in the British gangster film Bad Day.
In 2011, she appeared in the BBC1 drama Exile alongside John Simm. In 2015, she was also seen in the fourth season of Death in Paradise.
The Coroner and Other Roles
From 2015, Claire starred as the main character, Jane Kennedy, in the BBC drama The Coroner. The show was set in the fictional coastal town of Lighthaven in South Devon and ran for 20 episodes. Claire won "Best Acting Performance" at the 2016 Royal Television Society (Midlands awards) for her role in the series.
In 2019, she played the lead role of Thea in the play "The Girl Who Fell" at Trafalgar Studios. More recently, from 2022, she has starred as Steph in two seasons of the CBBC teen science-fiction series Silverpoint.
Personal Life
In the 1990s, Claire Goose dated her Casualty co-star Jonathan Kerrigan. In 2007, she married TV producer Craig Woodrow. They have two daughters together, Amelia and Eveline.
