Claire Mahl Moore (1917–1988) was an American artist. She was known for making art using printmaking techniques. Her art career lasted from the 1930s to the 1980s. Claire learned art at the Art Students League. Her teachers included Charles Locke, Harry Wickey, and Thomas Hart Benton.

Art During Tough Times

During the Great Depression, many people struggled to find work. The government started programs to help. One program was the Federal Art Project. This project was part of the New Deal. It hired artists like Claire to create art. Claire worked as a printmaker for this project.

The Siqueiros Experimental Workshop
