Clark Stacey is an American video game developer. He is known for helping to create many popular video games. He also co-founded a company called WildWorks.
In 2010, WildWorks launched a very popular online game called National Geographic Animal Jam. This game is a huge online world where many players can play together. It was made with the National Geographic Society. Animal Jam has about 75 million players and is one of the fastest-growing online games for kids, especially those aged 9 to 11.
Early Life and Education
Clark Stacey was born in 1980. He grew up in Ogden, Utah. He later went to the University of Utah. There, he studied English literature and philosophy.
Career in Video Games
In 2003, Clark Stacey and Kris Johnson started a company called Smart Bomb Interactive. This company focused on making video games. At first, many of their games featured explosions and action.
Later, Smart Bomb Interactive changed its name to WildWorks. This company is based in Salt Lake City. WildWorks developed many well-known games. These include Animal Jam Classic, Snoopy Flying Ace, Tunnel Town, and Fer.al.
In August 2022, another company called Nazara Technologies bought WildWorks. Around January 2024, Clark Stacey left his role as the CEO of WildWorks. He also left his position on the company's board in July 2024.
After leaving WildWorks, Clark Stacey became the CEO of ANIMACCORD DTC. In this new role, he is in charge of an interactive online world for Masha and the Bear. This new world is called MASHAVERSE.
