Claudia Christian (born Claudia Ann Coghlan on August 10, 1965) is an American actress. She is famous for her roles in TV shows and movies. You might know her as Commander Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5. She also plays Captain Maynard on the TV show 9-1-1.
Claudia Christian is also a talented voice actress. She is the voice of Hera in the Netflix series Blood of Zeus. She also voiced Lt. Helga Sinclair in the animated movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Claudia Christian's Early Life
Claudia Christian was born in Glendale, California. Her mother, Hildegard, was from Germany. Her father had Irish family. Claudia grew up in Connecticut with her three older brothers.
When she was 14, her family moved to California. She later changed her last name from Coghlan to Christian. After that, she moved to Hollywood to start her acting career.
Claudia Christian's Acting Career
Claudia Christian started her acting journey on the TV show Dallas. She then appeared in many other popular TV shows. These include Falcon Crest, Hunter, and Murder, She Wrote. She was also a regular on the show Berrenger's.
She acted in TV movies too. She was in Lies of the Twins and A Masterpiece of Murder. She also played Faye Dunaway's daughter in Columbo: It's All in the Game.
Claudia Christian also had roles in several movies. Some of her early films include Never on Tuesday and The Hidden. She also appeared in The Chase with Charlie Sheen and the comedy Hexed.
Playing Susan Ivanova in Babylon 5

From 1994 to 1998, Claudia Christian played Commander Susan Ivanova in the science fiction series Babylon 5. This role made her very well-known. She was a main character for the first four seasons.
She did not appear in the fifth and final season as much as before. This was due to discussions about her contract. Even so, she returned for the series finale. She also played Ivanova again in the movies Babylon 5: In the Beginning and Babylon 5: Thirdspace.
Later TV and Voice Roles
After Babylon 5, Claudia Christian continued to act. She made guest appearances on shows like Highlander: The Series, Freaks and Geeks, and NYPD Blue. She also appeared in Nip/Tuck, Grimm, and NCIS.
She voiced the character Helga in the animated film Atlantis: The Lost Empire. In 2004, she acted in a play called What the Night Is For. She also starred in the British TV series Starhyke and the BBC comedy Broken News.
More recently, Claudia Christian has been busy with voice acting. She plays the goddess Hera in the Netflix series Blood of Zeus. She also voices characters in popular video games. These include Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Fallout 4. She also voices characters in Guild Wars 2 and World of Warcraft.

With Chris McAuley, she created a science-fiction world called Dark Legacies. The first project from this world was a comic book. It was funded through Kickstarter in 2022. An audiobook was also made for the project.
