Claudio Bisio was born in Novi Ligure, a town in the Piedmont region of Italy. He grew up in the city of Milan. For high school, he went to a school that focused on science. After that, he studied acting at the drama school of the famous Piccolo Teatro in Milan to become a professional actor.
Career in Acting and Comedy
Bisio began his career acting in plays, performing in both classic and modern shows. He started acting in movies in 1983. His first big role on television was in 1998 on an Italian TV show called Zanzibar.
For many years, Bisio was the host of Zelig, a popular Italian TV show featuring short, funny performances called sketch comedy. He hosted the show in 1997 and then again from 2000 to 2012.

Bisio has starred in many successful Italian movies. In 1991, he was in the movie Mediterraneo, which won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
