Who is Claudio Cecchetto?
Claudio Cecchetto was born in Ceggia, a small town near Venice, Italy. He started his career playing drums in local bands. Later, he became a DJ. He worked at Radio 105 Network, which was one of Italy's first big private radio stations.
Starting His Own Radio Stations
In 1982, Claudio left Radio 105. He then started his very own radio station called Radio DeeJay. Two years later, in 1984, Radio DeeJay also started a TV show called "Deejay Television" on Italia 1.
Claudio helped many people become famous presenters through his radio station. Some of these well-known people include Gerry Scotti, DJ Linus, Fiorello, and Fabio Volo. In 1994, Claudio left Radio Deejay. He then went on to create another radio station called Radio Capital.
Music Hits and Discoveries
In 1981, Claudio Cecchetto released his first song, "Gioca-Jouer." This song was a huge hit in Italy and became number one on the music charts. About a year later, he released another fun song called "Ska Ska Chou Chou."
Throughout his career, Claudio found and helped many artists become famous. Some of these artists include Jovanotti, Sabrina Salerno, 883, and Finley. Claudio has also hosted many big Italian music festivals. These include the famous Festival di Sanremo and Festivalbar.
His Family Life
In the spring of 1992, Claudio Cecchetto married Maria Paola Danna. They got married in Riccione. They have two children together: a son named Jody, who was born in 1994, and another son named Leonardo, born in 2000.
