Claysville is a small, unincorporated community located in Vernon Township, within Washington County, in the state of Indiana, United States. An unincorporated community means it's a settlement that isn't officially part of a city or town, so it doesn't have its own local government.

History of Claysville

Claysville has an interesting past! It was first established in 1828 and was known by a different name: Middletown. Imagine a place getting a whole new name!
