Clendinning Lake is a remote and beautiful lake located in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada. It's found in the Clendinning Range, which is about 98.5 kilometers (about 61 miles) northwest of a town called Squamish. This lake is important because it's the starting point for Clendinning Creek, which then flows into the larger Elaho River.

About Clendinning Lake

Clendinning Lake is a medium-sized lake. It is about 3.1 kilometers (1.9 miles) long and 0.5 kilometers (0.3 miles) wide. What makes this lake special is that it gets all its water from a glacier! The Clendinning Glacier feeds the lake from its southern end.

Even though it's called Clendinning Lake, most of the lake actually sits outside of Clendinning Provincial Park. Only the very northern part of the lake, where the water flows out, is inside the park's boundaries.

Around the lake, you can see some amazing natural features. Frontline Mountain rises high above the lake's east side. On a ridge above the west side of the lake, you'll find the Doolittle Glacier.

How to Get to Clendinning Lake

Reaching Clendinning Lake is quite an adventure, but it's also very difficult. There isn't an easy path or trail to follow. To get there, you would need to plan a trip that takes at least two to three days.

The journey involves a lot of "bushwhacking," which means pushing through thick bushes and trees where there's no clear path. You would also almost certainly have to cross the icy Clendinning Creek at least once. You might even need to cross Wave Creek, another stream, where it meets Clendinning Creek. This makes the trip challenging and suitable only for experienced adventurers.
