Cleveland Public Parks District facts for kids

The Cleveland Public Parks District is a part of Cleveland's city government. It's in charge of taking care of more than 150 public parks across the city of Cleveland, Ohio. These parks offer fun places for everyone to play, relax, and enjoy nature.
Famous Parks in Cleveland
- Gordon Park (E. 72nd, S. of Shoreway 46.00 acres (18.62 ha))
This park is right on the lakefront. A section of Gordon Park is also part of the Cleveland Lakefront State Park system. This means it's a special area managed for nature and outdoor activities.
This historic area was planned way back in 1903 by famous architect Daniel Burnham and his team. It's divided into three main sections and is located just north of Public Square. It's a big green space in the middle of Downtown Cleveland.
