Clifton Powell, born on March 16, 1956, is an American actor. He is well-known for playing supporting roles in many movies and TV shows. One of his most famous roles was in the 2004 film Ray. For this role, he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award.

Clifton Powell has been acting since the 1980s and has appeared in over a hundred films. Some of his notable movie roles include Menace II Society (1993), Dead Presidents (1995), Why Do Fools Fall in Love (1998), and Rush Hour (1998). He also appeared in Next Friday (2000) and its sequel, Friday After Next (2002). In 2004, he was in Woman Thou Art Loosed and Ray.
