The Clyde Wind Farm is a really big wind farm in Scotland. It's being built in a place called South Lanarkshire. When it's finished, it will be one of the largest onshore wind farms in all of Europe!

What is the Clyde Wind Farm?
This huge project will have 152 giant wind turbines. These turbines will make electricity from the wind. The company building it is called Scottish and Southern Energy.
The Clyde Wind Farm will be able to produce 548 megawatts (MW) of power. A megawatt is a huge amount of electricity! This is enough power to light up about 320,000 homes. That's a lot of houses!
Where is it Located?
The wind farm is being built in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. You can see the turbines on both sides of the M74 motorway.
How Big Will It Be?
When it's ready, the Clyde Wind Farm will be bigger than the 322 MW Whitelee Wind Farm. The Whitelee Wind Farm is another large wind farm located near Glasgow.
Building the Wind Farm
The plan for the Clyde Wind Farm was approved by the Scottish Parliament in July 2008. The Scottish Parliament is like the government for Scotland. They make important decisions for the country.
Building this massive wind farm costs a lot of money, around £600 million. The construction is expected to be finished in 2011.
