Coal is a small place in Henry County, Missouri, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It's what we call an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county. Coal is located along Missouri Route 7, which is a main road, about 10 miles east of a bigger town called Clinton. Not far from Coal, about four miles to the south, you'll find the Harry S Truman Reservoir, a large lake on the South Grand River.
