Cole Bryson Tucker (born July 3, 1996) is an American professional baseball player. He plays as a shortstop and outfielder. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies, and Los Angeles Angels. Currently, he is a free agent, meaning he is not signed with any team.

Cole Tucker's Early Baseball Days

Cole Tucker grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He went to Mountain Pointe High School. There, he played on the school's baseball team. He was a very good player. In 2013, he even played for the United States national baseball team. They competed in the 2013 18U Baseball World Cup. He had planned to play college baseball at the University of Arizona.

Starting His Professional Career

Joining the Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates picked Cole Tucker in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. He was the 24th player chosen overall. He signed with the Pirates on June 12, 2014. He started playing in their minor league system.

In 2015, Cole played for the West Virginia Power. He had a good batting average of .293. He also stole 25 bases. This showed he was fast and good at running the bases.

He continued to play in the minor leagues. In 2017, he played for the Bradenton Marauders and the Altoona Curve. That year, he hit six home runs. He also had 50 runs batted in (RBIs) and stole 47 bases. This was a very successful season for him.

Making it to the Major Leagues

Cole Tucker was seen as one of the Pirates' top young players. He started the 2019 season with the Indianapolis Indians. This was their Triple-A team. On April 20, 2019, he got called up to the major league team. He made his big league debut that same day.

Moving to Other Teams

After leaving the Pirates, Cole Tucker joined the Arizona Diamondbacks in June 2022. He played for their Triple-A team, the Reno Aces. He later became a free agent.

In December 2022, he signed a minor league deal with the Colorado Rockies. He played for their Triple-A team, the Albuquerque Isotopes. He played well there, hitting .311. He was called up to the Rockies' major league team for a few games in August 2023.

In 2024, Cole signed with the Los Angeles Angels. He played for their Triple-A team, the Salt Lake Bees. He was called up to the Angels' major league team in April 2024. He played in 24 games for them before becoming a free agent again in October.
