Coleman is a small city located in Midland County, in the state of Michigan, United States. In 2020, about 1,262 people lived there. It's a friendly community with a rich history.

History of Coleman
Coleman started to grow in 1870 when a sawmill was built. A sawmill is a factory that cuts logs into lumber. The next year, a train station for the Pere Marquette Railroad opened, which helped the town connect with other places.
Coleman officially became a village in 1887. Later, in 1905, it became a city. This meant it had its own local government and could make its own rules.
Where is Coleman?
Coleman is located in the northwestern part of Midland County. It's about 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Midland, which is the main city in the county. It's also about 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Clare.
A big highway, U.S. Route 10, runs along the northern edge of the city. You can get to Coleman from Exit 103.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that Coleman covers an area of about 1.27 square miles (3.29 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a tiny bit being water.

Robinson Industries
This company makes products from thermoformed plastics. This means they heat plastic sheets and then shape them into different items. Robinson Industries started in 1947 by making refrigerator door parts.
Over time, they began making other things like coolers, canoes, and ice buckets. In the 1960s, they started making reusable plastic pallets for the car industry. Today, Robinson Industries is one of the biggest employers in Coleman, with almost 200 people working there.
Huhtamaki Plastics
Huhtamaki Plastics is another major employer in Coleman. This company makes plastic cups and special fluted cups for ice cream. They also produce plates, bowls, and cups that you might see in stores under the Chinet brand. They employ 257 people, making them one of the largest employers in the city.
