Colette Fitzpatrick (born 25 June 1974) is a well-known news presenter from Ireland. She is one of the main news anchors at Virgin Media News, which used to be called "TV3 News". Colette started this role in September 2006. She grew up in a place called Holycross near Thurles in County Tipperary.
Colette's Career in News
Colette Fitzpatrick is a familiar face on Irish television. She presents the daily news shows, known as news bulletins. You can see her on News at 12.30 and News at 5.30 during the week. She has also hosted Midweek, a show that talks about important current events.
Starting Out in Television
Colette joined the TV3 news team in March 2001. She helped prepare and present the news for the morning show Ireland AM. She also reported on many different topics for the main evening news. For example, she reported from Kashmir after a big earthquake. Colette was also a regular guest presenter on Ireland AM.
Early Broadcasting Days
Before working at TV3, Colette was part of the news team at Today FM, a radio station. There, she prepared and presented hourly news updates. She also reported on various stories, including court cases. Colette produced a show called The Sunday Supplement. Her broadcasting journey began at East Coast FM in County Wicklow. Colette studied journalism and graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).

Colette Fitzpatrick is married to Niall McDermott, who works as a studio director. They have a son named Milo, who was born on 18 November 2010.
