Colfax is a small, unincorporated community located in Pleasant Township, within Fairfield County, Ohio, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place with a shared identity but without its own local government.
This community is found where U. S. Route 22 and Lake Road meet. Colfax is situated in the eastern part of Fairfield County. It lies to the east of Lancaster, which is the main city and county seat of Fairfield County. To its west, you'll find the community of Rushville.
