Collide is an American music duo that started in Los Angeles, California, in 1992. They create a unique sound by mixing different music styles. Their music includes elements of industrial music, trip hop, and even sounds from the Middle East.
The name "Collide" was chosen because it describes how their musical styles come together. kaRIN provides the dreamy vocals, while Statik creates the electronic music. It's like two different sounds "colliding" to make something new!
Collide's first album, Beneath the Skin, came out in 1996. After that, they released a remix album called Distort in 1998. They decided to start their own music company, Noiseplus Music. This way, they could release their music exactly how they wanted. In 2000, they released their second studio album, Chasing the Ghost, through their new company.
