Colm Farrelly facts for kids
Columb Farrelly (born 19 December 1952 – died 25 October 2008 in Tralee, Ireland) was an Irish music producer and composer. He became well-known in the mid-1980s. This was mainly because of his work with the famous singer Sinéad O'Connor. Farrelly was originally from Dublin.
Forming Ton Ton Macoute
In the summer of 1984, Farrelly met Sinéad O'Connor. She had placed an advertisement in Hot Press Magazine. They decided to work together.
They found other musicians to join them. Together, they formed an important band called Ton Ton Macoute. People liked the band's music. Their sound was special because it was inspired by Farrelly's interest in different cultures and unique musical styles.
His Passing
Columb Farrelly passed away on 25 October 2008. He had been ill for a short time.
