Colver Historic District is a special area in Barr Township and Cambria Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. What Makes Colver Historic?
The Colver Historic District includes many important buildings and places. These include homes, coal mining sites, and buildings for the Cambria and Indiana Railroad. There was even a dairy farm here. All these parts of the district were built between 1911 and 1943. They show what life was like in a coal mining town.
A Town Built for Coal
Colver was created by the Ebensburg Coal Company. They built the town to support their coal mine. This type of town is often called a "company town." The company provided everything for its workers. This included housing, shops, and even places for fun.

Many buildings in Colver are part of its history. These include different types of homes for workers. Some were made of brick, and others were made of wood.
