The Condron Family Ballpark at Alfred A. McKethan Field is a cool place where college baseball games are played! It's the home stadium for the Florida Gators baseball team, part of the University of Florida. You can find it right on the university's campus in Gainesville, Florida.
This ballpark is super modern. It opened its doors on February 19, 2021. The very first game played here was against the Miami Hurricanes. Before this stadium, the Gators played at Alfred A. McKethan Stadium, which had been their home since 1988.

Who Are the Namesakes?
Many important people helped make this amazing ballpark possible. The stadium and its playing field are named after two special individuals who supported the University of Florida.
Alfred A. McKethan's Legacy
The playing field is named after Alfred A. McKethan. He was a successful banker, businessman, and politician from Florida. Mr. McKethan also went to the University of Florida. He gave a lot of money to help improve the university's baseball facilities. His generous donations in the 1980s and 1990s helped build the previous stadium.
Gary Condron's Contributions
The entire stadium is named after Gary Condron. He is another proud graduate of the University of Florida. Mr. Condron played baseball for the Gators in the 1970s. He later became the founder of a big company called the Conlan Company. Gary Condron has given over $30 million to the university. This money helped build new academic centers and renovate other sports facilities. It also helped build this very ballpark! The stadium was officially renamed "Condron Family Ballpark" on April 22, 2022.
What's Inside the Ballpark?
Condron Family Ballpark is a modern stadium built with concrete and steel. It can hold about 7,000 fans, but it can be made even bigger for special events!
The stadium has comfy chairback seats for 4,000 people. There are also 700 special club seats. Plus, over 2,000 fans can sit on the grassy "berm" areas. The design is really cool, with a walkway that goes all the way around the field. There's also a large canopy to provide shade.
The field itself has natural grass and clay, just like a professional baseball field. The backstop area uses synthetic turf. Bright lights allow for exciting night games. There are also press boxes for reporters, concession stands for snacks, and locker rooms for both teams.

Condron Family Ballpark has hosted some big baseball tournaments. These are part of the NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
