The Story of Connerton
Connerton was once a large cattle ranch. It was owned and run by the Conner family. This ranch covered about 8,000 acres of land.
From Ranch to Community
In the early 2000s, the Conner family sold their ranch. A company bought the land to build a new community. At first, they planned to build many homes. They also thought about adding golf courses.
However, the plans changed to protect the natural areas. This meant keeping much of the land wild. Building homes started a few years later. The first houses were sold in 2005.
Growth and Changes
Building slowed down for a while. This happened because of a big change in the housing market. But by 2012, construction started moving forward again.
In 2019, a company called Lennar Homes bought most of the remaining land. They paid $26 million for it. This purchase helped the community continue to grow.
