Starting with Generations (1993–2016, 2023)
Connie Ferguson began her acting career in 1993. She played the main character, Karabo Moroka, in the popular South African TV show Generations. Karabo was the wife of Tau Mogale and sister to Archie Moroka. Connie acted alongside stars like Menzi Ngubane and Sophie Ndaba.
After playing Karabo Moroka for 16 years, Connie decided to leave Generations in 2010. She wanted to try other things in her career. She returned to the show in 2014 to help launch Generations: The Legacy. She left the show again in 2016. In 2023, Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo returned to Generations: The Legacy. They played their famous roles as Karabo Moroka and Tau Mogale once more.
Starring in The Wild (2010–2013)
After leaving Generations in 2010, Connie took on a main role in a new TV show called The Wild. This show was filmed on a beautiful game farm in South Africa. She acted alongside her husband, Shona Ferguson. The show ended in April 2013.
Creating Shows with Ferguson Films (2010–present)
In 2010, Connie and her husband, Shona Ferguson, started their own TV production company called Ferguson Films. Their first show, Rockville, was made for M-Net in 2013.
Ferguson Films has created many other popular shows. These include The Gift, The Throne, The Queen, and The Imposter. Connie often acts in the shows her company produces. For example, she played Harriet Khoza in The Queen.
The Queen was recognized at the South African Film and Television Awards in 2018. It was nominated for several awards. Connie also appeared in the Netflix series "Kings of Jo'burg". A second season of this show was released in January 2023.

Connie Masilo married actor Neo Matsunyane in 1992. They had a daughter in December 1993. They later divorced in 1998.
In July 2001, Connie met actor Shona Ferguson. They got married in November 2001. In June 2002, they welcomed another daughter. Shona Ferguson passed away on 30 July 2021.
