Connie Sellecca (born Concetta Sellecchia on May 25, 1955) is an American actress and former model. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows like Flying High, The Greatest American Hero, and Hotel. For her work in Hotel, she was even nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1987.

Early life and education

Connie Sellecca was born Concetta Sellecchia in The Bronx, a part of New York City. Her parents, Primo and Marianna, were from Italy. When she was 12, her family moved to Pomona in Rockland County, New York.

She went to Pomona Junior High School and later Ramapo High School. It was during high school that she first became interested in acting and performing. After high school, she started attending Boston College, but she decided to leave college to follow her dream of becoming an actress.

Acting career

Connie Sellecca began her career as a fashion model. Soon after, she started acting in television. Her first acting role was in a TV movie called The Bermuda Depths in 1978.

She then starred in a CBS comedy-drama series called Flying High from 1978 to 1979. This show was about the fun and challenges of three airline flight attendants. In 1979, she also appeared in the TV movie Captain America II: Death Too Soon and another TV movie, She's Dressed to Kill.

From 1981 to 1983, Connie Sellecca played a lawyer named Pam Davidson in the ABC comedy-drama series The Greatest American Hero. In this show, she starred alongside William Katt and Robert Culp.

After The Greatest American Hero ended, she joined another ABC TV drama called Hotel. She played Christine Francis, a promotions manager, from 1983 to 1988. Her performance in Hotel earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe Award in 1987, which is a very important award in television and movies.

In 1989, she starred in a popular miniseries called Brotherhood of the Rose. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Connie Sellecca also played main roles in many made-for-television movies. She starred in the CBS crime drama series P.S. I Luv U from 1991 to 1992 and the CBS drama series Second Chances from 1993 to 1994.

In the 2000s, she appeared in two films: I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus (2001) and The Wild Stallion (2009).

Connie Sellecca was married to actor Gil Gerard from 1979 to 1987. They have a son named Gib.

On April 4, 1992, she married pianist and TV host John Tesh. They have a daughter named Prima. Connie Sellecca is also a Christian, like her husband, John Tesh.
