Connie Sellecca (born Concetta Sellecchia on May 25, 1955) is an American actress and former model. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows. These include Flying High, The Greatest American Hero, and Hotel. For her work in Hotel, she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1987.

Early Life and School

Connie Sellecca was born Concetta Sellecchia in The Bronx, a part of New York City. Her parents, Primo and Marianna, were from Italy. When Connie was 12, her family moved to Pomona in Rockland County, New York.

She went to Pomona Junior High School. Later, at Ramapo High School in Spring Valley, she became very interested in acting. She started college at Boston College but decided to leave to follow her dream of becoming an actress.

Connie's Acting Career

Connie Sellecca began her career as a fashion model. Her first acting job was in a TV movie called The Bermuda Depths in 1978.

Early TV Shows

From 1978 to 1979, Connie starred in a CBS comedy-drama series called Flying High. This show was about the fun and challenges of three airline flight attendants. In 1979, she also appeared in the TV movie Captain America II: Death Too Soon. She also acted in the TV movie She's Dressed to Kill. In 1980, she was in another short TV series, Beyond Westworld.

Becoming a TV Star

From 1981 to 1983, Connie played a lawyer named Pam Davidson in the ABC comedy-drama The Greatest American Hero. After that show ended, she joined another ABC drama called Hotel. She played Christine Francis, a promotions manager, from 1983 to 1988. Her performance in Hotel earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe Award in 1987. In 1989, she starred in the popular miniseries Brotherhood of the Rose.

Later Roles

Connie Sellecca starred in many TV movies during the 1980s and 1990s. From 1991 to 1992, she was in the CBS crime drama P.S. I Luv U. Then, from 1993 to 1994, she starred in the CBS drama series Second Chances. In the 2000s, Connie appeared in two movies: I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus (2001) and The Wild Stallion (2009).

Connie Sellecca met actor Howard Platt in 1978 when they were working on Flying High. They were engaged for a time.

Connie was married to actor Gil Gerard from 1979 to 1987. They have a son together named Gib. On April 4, 1992, Connie married pianist and TV host John Tesh. They have a daughter named Prima. Connie, like her husband John Tesh, is a Christian.
