Contrex is a popular brand of mineral water. It has been owned by Nestlé Waters since 1992. Nestlé Waters is a big part of the Swiss company Nestlé. Contrex is also part of the Vittel mineral water group, which includes other brands like Vittel and Hépar.
The water comes from a special source in Contrexéville, a town in the Vosges area of France. A doctor named Charles Bagard, who worked for King Louis XV, first discovered this water.
About Contrex Water
Contrex water is known for having many minerals. These minerals are naturally found in the water. This makes it a "highly mineralized" water. It also has properties that can help your body get rid of extra water. This is called being "diuretic."
Where Contrex is Bottled
The water is bottled in a very large factory. This factory covers an area of 250,000 square meters. About 900 people work there. Every year, the factory produces 635 million bottles of water. About 11% of these bottles are sent to other countries. This is called being "exported."
The Contrex bottling factory is connected to the Vittel factory. They are only a few kilometers apart. This connection uses pipelines. It means Contrex water can be bottled at either the Contrexéville or the Vittel factory.
