Contrex is a popular brand of mineral water. It has been owned by Nestlé Waters since 1992. Nestlé Waters is a part of the big Swiss company, Nestlé. Contrex water is also part of the Vittel mineral water company, which includes other brands like Vittel and Hépar.
The special water for Contrex comes from a place called Contrexéville in France. This area is in the Vosges region. A doctor named Charles Bagard, who worked for King Louis XV, first found this water source.
What Makes Contrex Water Special?
Contrex water is known for having many natural minerals. These minerals come from the ground where the water is found. Because of these minerals, Contrex water is said to have diuretic properties. This means it can help your body get rid of extra water.
Where is Contrex Water Bottled?
The water is bottled in a very large factory complex. This factory covers an area of 250,000 square meters. About 900 people work there to bottle the water.
How Many Bottles Are Made?
Every year, the factory produces around 635 million bottles of Contrex water. A small part of this, about 11%, is sent to other countries.
The Contrex bottling factory is connected to the Vittel factory by pipes. The Vittel factory is only a few kilometers away in Vittel. This connection means that Contrex water can be bottled at either location.
