Conway's Journey in Music

Starting His Music Career

Conway spent time thinking about his future and decided to focus on his music career. He wanted to make a name for himself in the music world.

In 2012, Conway was seriously injured. Doctors initially thought he might not be able to move much of his body. However, he recovered, and the only lasting effect is a slight paralysis in his face. This gives him his unique way of speaking and rapping.

Griselda Records and Early Success

In 2014, Conway's half-brother, Westside Gunn, started Griselda Records. This label helped Conway and Westside Gunn release their own music. They also released music for other artists like Benny the Butcher.

In 2015, Conway released his first two official mixtapes through Griselda Records. These were called The Devil's Reject and Reject 2. Conway and Westside Gunn also released two short albums together. These were Hall & Nash in 2015 and Griselda Ghost in 2016.

In April 2016, Conway met Prodigy from the famous group Mobb Deep. Prodigy became one of Conway's first important supporters and collaborators.

Joining Shady Records

On March 3, 2017, Griselda Records signed a big deal with Eminem's Shady Records. This was a major step for Conway and the label. Later that year, Conway performed a rap verse at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Complex magazine recognized Westside Gunn and Conway as one of the "15 Best Unofficial Rap Duos" in 2017. They also named them two of the "17 Artists to Watch in 2017."

After joining Shady Records, Conway released his album G.O.A.T. on December 21, 2017. This album featured music produced by Daringer and The Alchemist. It also included guest appearances from famous rappers like Royce Da 5'9", Raekwon, Prodigy, Styles P, and Lloyd Banks. Earlier in 2017, he also released a mixtape with DJ Green Lantern called More Steroids.

Studio Albums and New Beginnings

On May 16, 2019, Conway, Benny The Butcher, and Westside Gunn released a new song with DJ Premier called "Headlines."

Conway released the song "Bang" with Eminem on July 19, 2019. This song was meant to be the first single from his album God Don't Make Mistakes. However, Conway's first studio album ended up being From King to a God, which he released on September 11, 2020. During this time, Conway also continued to release other mixtapes and collaborative albums.

His album God Don't Make Mistakes was finally released on February 25, 2022. This was Conway's second studio album. His third studio album, Won't He Do It, came out on May 5, 2023. This was Conway's first studio album not released with Griselda. His latest album, Slant Face Killah, was released on May 10, 2024.
